BUDDY UP! WITH THESE PARTNER WORKOUTS

Grab a workout buddy! The gym is a perfect place to spend time with your partner or a workout bud and if you haven't trained with your other half recently, this is the month to do it. Below are a few exercises that will leave you both feeling amazing!

Squats

Let's show off that booty! Squats are not only a great exercise for men, but most ladies love squats and most types of leg training in general. Perform this exercise with 3 sets of 12 reps. Be sure to maintain proper form with controlled movement.

Incline Bench Press

The incline bench press is a great exercise to help form the upper chest and enhance the male and female physique. For guys, this is a great exercise to show off how strong you are and look good in front of your significant other. Throw some heavier weight on the bar and lower reps to show off those guns! For men, 3-4 sets of 5-8 reps. For women, 3 sets of 8-12 reps.

Partner-Assisted Pull-Ups

Take advantage of having your partner there with you at the gym and utilize them to reach your full potential. Some of us may have already mastered this exercise but we all have our limit. When you tire out, have your partner push up on your legs to assist you in reaching the top of the bar. Now that's commitment! Just those few extra reps can add on some growth in the long run. Most women may not be ready for an unassisted pull-up, so this is the perfect way to help her learn the real movement and learn the benefits of the pull-up without using an assisted pull-up machine.

Arm and Deltoid Circuit

It's that time again; let's get those arms and deltoids pumping! Setting up a circuit is not only efficient it can be fun! Set up the high pulley machine at a cable station and attach a rope that can be used for both pushdowns and face pulls. Also, grab 2 sets of dumbbells for each of you. Start with curls with your dumbbells and go into push-downs and face pulls alternating while your partner rests. Do 4 sets of 15 reps!
Remember to take the time to not only work out with your significant other, but also reflect and appreciate your relationship. The relationships you have with your partner, friends, and family is very important to creating a healthy lifestyle. Plus, after this workout you will be pumped up and loaded with endorphins.
